What does it cost to stay at Stybarrow Cottage?
Stybarrow Cottage provides wonderful self catering holiday accommodation for up to 6 people. The prices for a week's stay in 2026 are from £650.00 to £925.00. Our cottage is predominantly let on a Friday to Friday basis. However, due to being owned and maintained by ourselves, and without the constraints of agency and contract cleaners, we are happy to offer flexibility on stays and we welcome enquiries for minimum 3 night stays, with flexible arrival/checkout days.
Prices include bed linen, all fuel and electricity charges, free Wi-Fi and private off road parking for one car. That means there's nothing more to pay!
We don't take pets (apologies to the pooch!) and there is no smoking at our cottage - sorry!
Rental rates are for the entire property.

RENTAL NOTES:
Stybarrow Cottage is privately owned and is our home. We expect all guests to enjoy the facilities and treat the property with the same respect that they would with their own home. We ask that you leave it in the good condition and order you find it.
- The cottage will be available for you from 4.00 pm on the day of arrival (although we will do our best to be ready for earlier arrivals) and check out is by 10.00 am.
- We do not take pets and there is no smoking at Stybarrow Cottage - sorry!
- Payment is by bank transfer or cheque. We ask for a £100.00 non-returnable deposit, with the balance payable two calendar months before you arrive.
- Our changeover day is Friday. Arrival is permitted after 4pm, and we ask guests to leave by 10am on their departure day. We operate a contactless key collection.
- Accidents happen, but please let us know of any breakages or faults so we can ensure these are rectified for the next guests.
- Outside fires/firepits are not permitted.
- No smoking or vaping is allowed in the cottage. Used cigarette butts are to be removed from the garden prior departure.
- Stybarrow Cottage is in a terrace with neighbours, please respect their space and privacy, and show consideration by keeping noise to a minimum after 11pm
- We do not permit storage of bikes inside the cottage, though there is a minimal amount of storage available in the coal shed for 1/2 bikes.
- Maximum occupancy is 6, we do not permit guests “swap” during the week. Please detail amount of guests upon booking.
- We do provide all bed linen but please bring your own towels. We ask that all beds used to be stripped prior departure.
- A highchair is available upon request.
- There is off road parking for one car only (or possibly two small cars). If you need more parking, Glenridding pay and display public car park is accessed just off the one-way system in the village. There is pedestrian access through the Health Centre. Street parking in Glenridding has various restrictions, so be prepared to move any additional vehicle to adhere to the permitted times for non-restricted parking.
- We ask for a £100 non-refundable deposit payable to secure your booking. The balance is due no later than one month prior to arrival. We prefer payments to be made via online bank transfer. However, we do accept cheques upon request. We do not have provision to accept debit or credit cards.
- We accept no liability in terms of loss to any guests, vehicles or contents/belongings during your stay.
- We recommend you take out your own holiday insurance.
