Booking Information
Stybarrow Cottage is privately owned and is our home. We expect all guests to enjoy the facilities and treat the property with the same respect that they would with their own home. We ask that you leave it in the good condition and order you find it.
Our changeover day is Friday. Arrival is permitted after 4pm, and we ask guests to leave by 10am on their departure day. We operate a contactless key collection.
Accidents happen, but please let us know of any breakages or faults so we can ensure these are rectified for the next guests.
Outside fires/firepits are not permitted.
No smoking or vaping is allowed in the cottage. Used cigarette butts are to be removed from the garden prior departure.
Stybarrow Cottage is in a terrace with neighbours, please respect their space and privacy, and show consideration by keeping noise to a minimum after 11pm
We do not permit storage of bikes inside the cottage, though there is a minimal amount of storage available in the coal shed for 1/2 bikes.
Maximum occupancy is 6, we do not permit guests “swap” during the week. Please detail amount of guests upon booking.
We do provide all bed linen but please bring your own towels. We ask that all beds used to be stripped prior departure.
A highchair is available upon request.
There is off road parking for one car only (or possibly two small cars). If you need more parking, Glenridding pay and display public car park is accessed just off the one-way system in the village. There is pedestrian access through the Health Centre. Street parking in Glenridding has various restrictions, so be prepared to move any additional vehicle to adhere to the permitted times for non-restricted parking.
We ask for a £100 non-refundable deposit payable to secure your booking. The balance is due no later than one month prior to arrival. We prefer payments to be made via online bank transfer. However, we do accept cheques upon request. We do not have provision to accept debit or credit cards.
We accept no liability in terms of loss to any guests, vehicles or contents/belongings during your stay.
We recommend you take out your own holiday insurance.
