How to find Stybarrow Cottage

Stybarrow Cottage is located in the village of Glenridding at the southern end of Ullswater. Glenridding is 15 miles (24 km) from the towns of Keswick and Penrith and 8 to 10 miles (12 to 16 km) from Ambleside and Windermere.

There is easy access to the cottage from the M6 motorway (junction 40 at Penrith) via the A66 and A592. Follow the signs for Ullswater and Patterdale - a journey of 30 to 40 minutes which passes along the western shore of Ullswater.

From the south, take the A591 from the M6 (junction 36)
and follow the signs for Windermere and Ambleside.
After Windermere, take the A592 to Kirkstone and
Patterdale at the small roundabout (signposted Ullswater). This takes you over the dramatic Kirkstone Pass.

Our cottage is located a short walk from the main village
car park and there is on-street parking outside the cottage.
